The role

What you will be doing here

Are you looking for a job where you truly contribute? Or are you intentionally taking a gap year, or are you a student? Do you enjoy researching things thoroughly, maintaining an overview, and helping colleagues further? Then we are looking for you.

Due to the long-term absence of a colleague, we are looking for reinforcement for our procurement team for one year. You will help ensure that the right materials and services are in the right place at the right time. So that healthcare providers can simply focus on the patient.

your duties;

As an Operational Procurement Assistant, you support the procurement team with daily operations. You help ensure that goods and services are ordered and delivered on time and are processed correctly administratively. Your duties include:

  • Processing orders and checking order confirmations;

  • Answering procurement requests from the organization or forwarding them to the correct colleague;

  • Monitoring delivery times and signaling deviations in a timely manner;

  • Maintaining contact with suppliers regarding orders, deliveries, and delivery times;

  • Thinking along about practical solutions for delivery problems;

  • Assisting with the handling of invoices and resolving price or quantity discrepancies;

  • Providing administrative support for smaller procurement processes;

  • Checking and updating data in our procurement and ordering systems;

  • Supporting buyers with their daily activities.

You work closely with operational and strategic buyers and with colleagues from departments throughout the entire hospital. The lines are short and you know each other by name. You don't need to know everything yet: we are happy to teach you how operational procurement works in a hospital.

A background in, for example, business administration, facility management, logistics, supply chain management, administration, finance & control, or health management fits well, but is not a strict requirement. Furthermore, you recognize yourself in this:

  • You work accurately and in a structured manner;

  • You are service-oriented and enjoy helping colleagues;

  • You switch easily between different tasks;

  • You communicate pleasantly with colleagues and suppliers;

  • You dare to ask questions and think practically;

  • You work independently, but also easily seek out collaboration.

Important: you can work 24 hours per week throughout the entire year; we offer you a hybrid workplace where we do ask you to be present on Fridays. Are you combining this with studies? Then please check carefully if your schedule allows it.

Experience with procurement is a plus, but certainly not a requirement.

What we have to offer you

  • You will start with a one-year contract for 24 hours per week. If there are possibilities for extension, we would be happy to discuss this with you. Additionally, there is of course the possibility to apply for further internal positions.

  • A position in the Procurement department in Harderwijk, in the heart of a hospital that is the beating healthcare heart of the region.

  • A salary according to scale 45 (FWG 3.0): minimum € 3,228 and maximum € 4,346 gross per month based on 36 hours per week.

  • 8.33% holiday allowance and an end-of-year bonus (thirteenth month) of 8.33%.

  • Pension accrual at Pensioenfonds Zorg & Welzijn.

  • A hybrid workplace and you will receive a laptop and phone from the organization.

  • Extras via the MKA scheme (More Choice in Employment Conditions), in which you can buy extra vacation days, exchange travel expenses, etc.

  • A team that welcomes you personally from day one and shows you the ropes. Simply because we find that important at St Jansdal.

A year with us is a year in which you experience how a hospital operates behind the scenes. Work experience that will be very useful in your studies or your next job.
