The role
As a quality officer in the hospital pharmacy, you ensure that this is also the case in practice. You work largely behind the scenes, but the results of your work are visible daily on the wards, at the bedside, and in the treatment rooms. After all, good hospital care requires a solid foundation.
Our modern hospital pharmacy provides pharmaceutical care to patients in the hospital, to various residential care centers in the region, and to people at home. You will join a department of about 75 colleagues, including 6 hospital pharmacists and 40 pharmacy technicians. You will be part of a team of four people that focuses entirely on quality and medication safety. The pharmacy is GMP-certified.
Your duties
You are the linchpin in the pharmacy's quality and document management system. You improve, implement, manage, and monitor it, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Additionally:
Together with the application coordinator! In your work, you collaborate closely with your colleagues in quality, the application coordinators, and the medication safety officer of the pharmacy. Together you ensure that
the digital systems and the quality processes align well. Short lines, dropping in, and coordinating together: that is simply how we work here.
What you'll do
Medication safety
Pharmaceutical specialist patient care
Assuring the quality of products and work processes
You start and implement new trials, and arrange the distribution and accountability of study medication and the management and monitoring of other study matters;
You perform microbiological monitoring, respond to action and alert levels, and recognize trends;
You perform and manage internal audits, as well as the validation of equipment and processes;
You set up and supervise improvement projects;
You help colleagues in the pharmacy get started with the quality management system and the procedures;
You ensure accurate documentation and report on quality activities and improvement initiatives to management.
You support the preparation and execution of external audits in the hospital pharmacy
You ensure that the policy and execution of the hospital pharmacy also follow the PDCA cycle
What you bring
You are someone who looks beyond today. You think at a policy level, feel responsible, and have quality in your fingertips. You ask critical questions, always with a positive outlook, and constantly see opportunities to make things better. You explain clearly, both on paper and in conversation, and you bring colleagues along with improvements. Simply because you know that you do it together.
What we have to offer you
Why St Jansdal?
At St Jansdal, the beating heart of healthcare in the region, you know the people around you. The lines are short and you are personally welcomed from day one. You are given the space to grow, among other things via the St Jansdal Academy, in an organization that takes innovation and digitalization seriously. Always in service of people. Coming home in healthcare, that is how it feels.
