Underground Infrastructure Traineeship in the Netherlands

Our trainees have one thing in common: a technical foundation and the ambition to look beyond their own field of expertise. Think of studies such as Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Engineering Management.

A traineeship at Siers is not for everyone. We are looking for technical talent that is curious about the world beneath our feet. People who want to understand how technology, execution, and organization come together and who do not wait around, but ask questions, take initiative, and dare to take responsibility.

In the first 8 weeks, the discovery phase, you will get to know the various branches, disciplines, and departments of Siers. From gas, water, and electricity to telecommunications, heat, sustainable energy, installation technology, engineering, revision, and asset registration.

You will see a lot, but we also expect something from you. Look beyond your own technical discipline, ask questions, approach people, and discover where your technical knowledge and talent can best shine. We open the doors, but you must step through them yourself.

This is followed by a 4-week deepening phase at one or two departments or branches that align with your qualities and ambitions.

During the program, you will receive guidance from a buddy. Someone who knows Siers well, shows you the ropes, and whom you can turn to with practical questions and advice.

Previous trainees, for example, grew into roles such as work planner and (junior) site supervisor. The goal is that after your traineeship, you are ready to take responsibility and continue growing within the technical world of Siers.

Do you have a technical background, do you want to know how things really work in practice, and do you like to take initiative? Then we want to get to know you.

• An employment of at least 32 hours and a maximum of 40 hours per week with a good and appropriate salary;

• A one-year contract with a view to a permanent position;

• 25 vacation days and 13 ADV days on a full-time basis, so that you have sufficient time to relax or go on holiday;

• Everything you need to perform your work well, including a laptop, phone, and lease car;

• A lot of freedom and independence in performing your duties;

• A good and familial atmosphere at a family business where people come first. We work hard, but overtime is not the standard. A healthy work-life balance is always our priority;

• When Siers makes a profit, you share in it by means of a profit-sharing scheme.

• A (nearly) completed HBO (higher professional education) degree (and a maximum of 4 years of work experience);

• Motivation to get to know the world of underground infrastructure and make it your own;

• Strong oral and written communication;

• Driver's license B.
