The role

At Securitas, we build a safer world together. With over 5,000 colleagues in the Netherlands and 345,000 colleagues worldwide, we ensure the safety of people, organizations, and locations every single day.

At Schiphol, we fulfill a crucial role within the security of one of Europe's largest airports. Behind a safe airport stands a strong team of security officers. As a Supervisor Guarding, you ensure that this team can perform optimally. That requires employees who are well-guided, deployed, and supported. As a Supervisor Guarding, you play an important role in this.

What you'll do

As a Supervisor Guarding, you lead a team of approximately 80 security officers at Schiphol. You are responsible for the guidance, development, and employability of your employees and ensure that they can perform optimally.

You know what is happening within your teams, conduct conversations regarding development and absenteeism, and actively manage employee satisfaction, retention, and performance. With your coaching and clear leadership style, you create a positive working atmosphere in which employees can develop.

Your responsibilities

  • Leading a team of approximately 80 to 100 security officers;
  • Conducting absenteeism, development, and performance review meetings;
  • Coaching, guiding, and developing employees;
  • Managing and improving KPIs such as absenteeism, turnover, and employee satisfaction;
  • Responsible for the employee process from inflow to outflow;
  • Recruiting, selecting, and onboarding new colleagues;
  • Identifying bottlenecks and implementing improvements within your teams;

How you'll work

  • An employment contract of 36 to 40 hours per week with varying workdays/times from Monday to Sunday from 5:30 AM - 10:00 PM.

Functie-eisen

For this position, we are looking for an experienced and people-oriented leader who understands what is involved in managing, guiding, and developing a large group of employees.

You are not only strong in daily leadership, but you also know how to tackle personnel issues. Think of absenteeism, sustainable employability, employee satisfaction, and the retention and development of employees.

You know how to motivate employees, but you also dare to set clear expectations and conduct difficult conversations. Additionally, you look beyond the daily operation: you recognize trends, analyze results, and translate these into concrete improvements.

What do you bring?

Experience within security or aviation is a nice-to-have, but certainly not a requirement. We find your experience with personnel management and your qualities as a leader more important than knowledge of the security industry.
