Corendon Dutch Airlines is a leading airline where no two days are the same. Within Ground Operations, we ensure every day that our flights are carried out safely, smoothly, and as much as possible according to schedule.
As Supervisor Base Coordination, you will play an important role in this. You will lead the Duty Officers, maintain an overview when pressure increases, and ensure that the operation keeps running. At the same time, you will think along about how we can organize our operation increasingly smarter and better. A versatile role with responsibility, dynamism, and direct impact on our daily operation.
As Supervisor Base Coordination, you will manage the daily operation, but you will also be right in the middle of it. You will supervise the operation, coordinate the various processes surrounding our flights, and serve as an important point of contact for, among others, crew, handlers, the airport, and OCC. At the same time, you will lead the Duty Officers and maintain an overview of the staffing and the distribution of work.
Regarding our flights, you will keep a sharp eye on flight, fleet, and crew planning within the 72-hour window. You will identify potential bottlenecks and ensure that timely action is taken. In the event of disruptions, you will take charge and coordinate with the various parties needed to get the operation running again. In doing so, you will keep both the interests of our passengers and the operational and financial consequences in mind. Even when pressure increases, you will maintain an overview and ensure clear communication.
Additionally, you will be the link between the daily operation and the Manager Ground Operations. You will advise on operational and policy-related issues and bring signals from the operation to their attention. In doing so, you will look not only at what is needed at that moment, but also at what can be improved structurally. You will also be responsible for the roster of the Duty Officers and ensure that the staffing of the 24/7 operation is in order.
As a leader, you are involved in the development of your team. You play a role in the recruitment and selection of new colleagues, conduct performance and appraisal interviews, and ensure that employees receive the right guidance and support. You provide clear direction, address employees when necessary, and pay attention to their development.
In addition to the daily operation, you will work on improving our way of working. You will analyze processes, identify where things can be done smarter or more efficiently, and work on improvements within Base Coordination. In this way, you help ensure that the operation runs well not only today, but also continues to professionalize.
Are you an experienced aviation professional with leadership experience who also knows how to maintain an overview in a dynamic operation? Then we would love to get in touch with you.
Apply via the button. Do you have any questions about the position beforehand? Please feel free to contact the Manager Ground Operations (Kenny Weener kenny@corendon.nl).
