What we're looking for

You feel at ease in a dynamic environment and get energy from working in a team to meet the best quality requirements. You also bring:

Experience in the fruit and vegetable sector, for example as: fresh produce employee, order picker, or production employee, is a plus. If you do not have this, you are also very welcome to apply
You are able to perform reasonably physical work, as you will be busy moving and checking crates with the best fruit and vegetable products
Residing in the Rotterdam or The Hague region, within a radius of approximately 20 kilometers
You are enthusiastic, eager to learn, and a persevering person
You are available 40 hours per week
You love working with your hands and your head
You are stress-resistant, flexible, and independent
You possess a Category B driver's license

Nice to have

You master the Dutch language and preferably also the English language

The role

Always wanted to know how fruit and vegetables reach the consumer with the right quality? And do you want to contribute to this? Then read on quickly! Experience is not required.

For our young and dynamic team, we are looking for a Junior Quality Controller. Together with your colleagues, you will get to know various fruit and vegetable products and learn how to assess their quality. You will receive good guidance and training, so that you can eventually perform the tasks independently.

As a Junior Quality Controller Fruit & Vegetables, you will discover how fruit and vegetables find their way to the consumer and what is needed to ensure quality, freshness, and food safety. We want everyone to be able to enjoy good and safe food without worry. As a Junior Quality Controller Fruit & Vegetables, you will contribute to this.

What you'll do

You will visit various customer locations, mainly in the west of the Netherlands, where you will check the quality of fruit and vegetable products. You will be guided in this by experienced colleagues, so that you learn to perform the tasks step by step. Your duties include:

Performing quality controls on mainly imported fruit and vegetable products.
Preparing quality reports in the Normec QC One reporting system.
Answering questions about the quality of products.
Advising on the correct preservation and storage of products.
