The role
At Crisp, we want to make better food possible for more people. That starts with food you can trust: safe, hygienic, and just as good every single time as we promise. That is why you ensure that quality, hygiene, and food safety are correct on the production floor every day. You are our eyes and ears on the floor. The foundation is rock solid: HACCP, quality, and specification management are in order. You ensure that daily practice aligns with this and you adjust where necessary. You are to be found on the production floor often for inspections and to verify processes. Occasionally, you will be in our own lab for experiments and testing.
What makes this role so much fun? You have a direct influence on our product and you are always close to it. If there is a friction point regarding quality, then you are the point of contact for production. You handle complaints thoroughly and you seek practical solutions.
What you will do
What you'll do
You perform daily quality and hygiene rounds on the production floor. You check whether colleagues comply with working methods and quality standards.
You take samples and perform quick product tests and measurements, such as pH and temperature. You also check incoming raw materials and purchased items.
You carry out targeted inspection and testing programs for taste, microbiology, chemistry, physical properties, and allergens, regarding processes, raw materials, and end products.
You coordinate and interpret laboratory investigations (M/C/F/A) and carry out shelf-life studies.
You coordinate and implement taste tests and tastings.
You investigate customer complaints about products thoroughly. You dive into production, determine where things went wrong, and secure the solution.
You pay attention to the correct application of our fixed product specifications and labeling requirements during production.
You check, test, and calibrate measuring and weighing equipment.
You address production employees, coach them, and provide short, practical trainings and instructions, for example regarding hygiene and allergens. In this way, we raise the food safety culture to a higher level every day.
Depending on your ambitions and experience, there is room to think along about product development, visit suppliers to test raw materials at the source, help with purchasing and hygiene management, and support quality in warehouse and logistics.
This is you
You are practical and visible. You do not like sitting behind a desk all day. You are at your best on the production floor.
You are a good communicator and coach. You explain quality rules clearly and address colleagues in a pleasant, constructive manner if someone does not comply.
You are critical and accurate. You pay attention to details, look sharply at the process, and do not settle for half-hearted work.
You are self-reliant and solution-oriented. You take initiative, know who to go to, and follow through on your agreements.
You are flexible. Does your day on the floor change due to a quality problem or an urgent complaint? Then you switch quickly and adjust your priorities.
