The role

Are you looking for a challenging job in the world of aerospace? And would you like to further develop yourself within a flight test organization? Then apply for our vacancy!

What you'll do

As a Licensed Engineer, you are part of the maintenance team of the flight test organization that NLR has together with TU Delft. For this purpose, NLR possesses both a PART-CAMO and a PART-145 organization, located at Rotterdam The Hague Airport. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for the modification, maintenance, conversion, and airworthiness of the test aircraft (Cessna Citation II and Pipistrel Velis Electro). You also contribute to the good management of the hangar and support the logistical processes surrounding the maintenance. With your technical knowledge of the aircraft, you are involved in research projects. In short, a varied position revolving around two interesting research aircraft.

Your new working environment

The Flight Operations department is responsible for the management and operation of the NLR research aircraft, the Pipistrel PH-NLX and two Citations, PH-LAB and PH-NLR. At Rotterdam airport, we have a hangar where we store and maintain the aircraft. Annually, we fly approximately 350 hours for various research and measurement flights. The department is developing in the fields of electric flying, hydrogen flying, flight testing, and the deployment of larger UAS. With all the developments in aviation, the need for more knowledge in these areas is great.

In our team of over 20 colleagues, we work multidisciplinarily with TU Delft on our test flight organization. We find a pleasant working environment essential. The atmosphere within the department is informal and collegial, and we find it important that everyone can feel at home with us.
