Requirements

What we're looking for

HBO (Higher Professional Education) level of work and thinking in Electrical Engineering or similar
At least 10 years of experience as a Lead Engineer in multidisciplinary projects
Experience with agile working and the use of scrumboards
Knowledge of and experience with BIM models and SharePoint
Experience with tunnel sub-installations such as lighting, ventilation, emergency systems, detection, and control
Proficiency in Eplan and relevant calculation programs
Knowledge of the Low Voltage Directive and the Machinery Directive and a valid VCA VOL certificate
Experience with complex infrastructure projects such as tunnels, bridges, locks, and traffic control centers is a plus

The role

As Lead Engineer Electrical Engineering Tunnels, you will lead a team of engineers and BIM modelers and ensure an integral design. You translate client requirements into a contractually correct design and monitor planning, quality, safety, and budget. You organize and verify calculations, drawings, and BIM models and maintain a sharp focus on multidisciplinary cohesion. In this way, you realize efficient, safe tunnel projects within the agreed frameworks.

What you'll do

Leading engineers and BIM modelers and performing technical content control
Setting up and monitoring the design planning and the agile work process including scrum board
Translating client requirements into a technical design in accordance with standards and contractual requirements
Organizing and testing calculations, drawings, and BIM models
Monitoring multidisciplinary cohesion and realizing a cost-optimal design
Conducting consultations with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders regarding design aspects
Managing documentation including version control and consistency of technical product documentation
Reporting on progress, deviations, and bottlenecks to the Design Manager or Project Leader
