This is what you will be doing as...

Every day is different, but you always start with a cup of coffee or tea. After that, you get to work in the bicycle parking. You receive customers coming to park their bicycles and help them with checking in and out. You speak to visitors in a friendly manner and help them where necessary, for example, by putting away their bicycle or giving directions. In between, you ensure that the parking area looks tidy and that everyone can use the facility safely.

This concerns a position for 24 hours per week. You are flexibly deployable in various shifts: early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights, also on weekends and public holidays. Opening and closing the location is among your responsibilities.

You will be working at two bicycle parking facilities in Breda: one on the Belcrum side and one on the city center side; after your induction period, you will be independently responsible for the location.

Due to the nature of the work and the working hours, you must be at least 18 years old.

• Monday: 05:20 - 01:10
• Tuesday: 05:20 - 02:05
• Wednesday: 05:20 - 01:10
• Thursday: 05:20 - 01:10
• Friday: 05:20 - 01:20
• Saturday: 06:05 - 01:20
• Sunday: 07:00 - 01:00
  
  Good to know:
• In exchange for your flexibility, you receive a 35% allowance when you work irregular hours.
• You can reach the bicycle parking within 30 minutes without public transport, because it does not always run in the early morning or late evening.
• This position is physically demanding. You will easily walk 10,000 steps per day and move bicycles within the parking area, which means you are constantly active and on the move.

Furthermore, you recognize yourself in the following:

• You can work well independently, take initiative to help travelers, and you enjoy (learning to) open or close the parking area alone.
• You are flexible and willing to step in if a colleague is sick or on holiday.
• You handle the hand terminal well: a smartphone that scans bicycles, indicates what needs to be done, and in which you register completed tasks.
• You can reach the bicycle parking within 30 minutes without public transport, because it does not always run in the early morning or late evening. We do not have parking spaces and do not reimburse parking costs.
• You speak good Dutch, at least at a B1 level.

A starting salary of € 2,864 per month based on 38 hours (from age 21) and you can grow during your career to a salary of max. € 3,057 gross per month based on scale D from the MVT collective labor agreement.

We supplement this with:

• 35% allowance for working irregular hours (night, weekend, and holidays)
• 25 vacation days with a full-time contract (38 hours).
• 8% holiday allowance.
• Travel allowance from 10 km (we do not reimburse parking costs).
• Pension accrual from age 18.
