• Very cliché but true: because no week is the same. One day you are interviewing a colleague, the next day you are working out a post in Canva or helping with a shoot.

Our office is located next to Utrecht Centraal station. This is where you will work most of the time, because it is simply pleasant to work together and be able to switch gears quickly. Sometimes you will also work from home for a day. We are flexible. Together with the other intern for events, we will take you to the various NS locations.

You will work in a team of approximately 9 colleagues with knowledge of content, campaigns, social media, events, and data. Additionally, you will regularly work together with recruiters and colleagues from other parts of NS.

Together with the team, you will show who NS is as an employer. We do this via social media, werkenbijns.nl, campaigns, events, and the ambassador program. You will actively participate and focus primarily on creating content and the ambassador program. Together, we bring all those beautiful stories to light. You will write texts, create content, and think along about new ideas. Your fresh perspective is very welcome in this.

Think of:

• Creating social posts for Instagram and LinkedIn
• Conducting interviews with colleagues and developing them into articles
• Working with Canva to create visuals
• Thinking along about new formats for social content
• Helping with photo shoots or video recordings
• Updating content on werkenbijns.nl
• Collaborating with the team on campaigns and projects

We will teach you how to use communication to give people a good image of NS as an employer. We call this Employer Branding.

• You are pursuing a higher professional (HBO) or university (WO) degree in the direction of communication, marketing, journalism, or communication and information sciences.
• You are looking for a full-time internship (32-36 hours per week) starting from February 2027 for at least 5 months. An earlier start date and/or a longer period is negotiable.
• Naturally, we also offer you the space for your potential internship assignment.
• You can write clearly and have a sense of what works on social media.
• You can work well with Canva or want to master this quickly.
• You enjoy speaking to people and gathering stories.
• You take initiative independently, but ask for help when needed. But more importantly: you are willing to learn this. We also understand that asking for help can sometimes be difficult!
• You like a bit of variety and don't mind if the schedule sometimes changes.

Interning at NS means applying theory and knowledge directly in practice, taking steps in your personal development, and pushing boundaries while receiving good guidance from NS. But there is more. As an intern, you will receive:

• An attractive internship allowance between 400 and 600 euros per month (depending on the number of days you intern per week).
• The freedom to take on projects independently and think along.

• The opportunity to participate in JongNS, our youth network, where you can get to know other interns and various business departments.
