Functional Application Administrator Business Central

As a Functional Application Administrator Business Central, you play a key role in the daily operations of a fast-growing international retailer. You work with the heart of our organization: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and LS Retail. You will be given a lot of freedom to propose and implement improvements and will become part of Digital Enablement: the department that continuously makes processes, systems, and data smarter.

Together with LS Retail, Business Central forms the foundation for our stores, finance, operations, and warehouse. Every day, we process thousands of transactions. You ensure that our systems continue to function reliably and that colleagues can rely on the applications they work with.

You handle user inquiries, resolve disruptions, and manage the functional configuration of Business Central and LS Retail. In doing so, you work from a clear backlog and help to set the right priorities. Not every request needs to be resolved today, but no request should ever disappear from view.

For you, tickets are not an administrative obligation, but a way to maintain oversight, manage expectations, and ensure that the most important tasks are picked up first.

At the same time, you look beyond the individual report. When you notice the same problem recurring, you search for the true cause. Is it due to the configuration, a process, the quality of the data, or is a working method not being followed correctly?

Where necessary, you perform a temporary manual correction so that operations can continue. But you are only truly satisfied when that correction is ultimately no longer needed. In this way, you are an important link between daily operations, suppliers, Development, Product Owners, and Business Consultants.

• You support users of Business Central and LS Retail with functional questions, incidents, and change requests.

• You manage the backlog, monitor priorities, and ensure the proper handling of reports.

• You analyze incidents and determine whether the cause lies in data, processes, configuration, or system behavior.

• You perform temporary corrections where necessary so that business processes can continue.

• You manage the functional configuration of Business Central and LS Retail and carefully implement configuration changes.

• You support releases, testing, and implementations.

• You monitor the quality of data and signal deviations before they have an impact on operations.

• You document solutions, configurations, and working methods so that knowledge is preserved.

• You identify recurring problems and translate these into structural improvements or change proposals.

• You work daily with users, key users, suppliers, and colleagues within Digital Enablement.

You get energy from structure and quality. You enjoy helping users, maintain oversight in a dynamic environment, and know how to set priorities when multiple matters are occurring simultaneously. You are analytical enough to determine the cause of a problem, but also practical enough to first get operations running again when necessary.

You understand that good application management is not just about resolving reports, but primarily about preventing the same reports from recurring. We do not expect every problem to be solved immediately. We do expect you to remain curious about how processes can become smarter, more stable, and more efficient.

Furthermore, you have:

• Mbo+/hbo level of work and thinking.

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar ERP system.

• Affinity with retail, finance, logistics, or inventory processes.

• You work in a structured, accurate manner and know how to set priorities well.

• You communicate easily and have a customer-oriented attitude.
