The role

Combine technology with leadership

Are you a working foreman who loves to wrench yourself and also lead a team? At Louwman Toyota Rotterdam‑Noord, you will provide structure in the workshop and, together with your colleagues, maintain high quality.

What you'll do

As a Working Foreman, you are the connecting link between the mechanics and the workshop reception. You distribute the work, set priorities, and keep a sharp eye on the planning. At the same time, you actively work alongside the team in the workshop.

You ensure that activities are carried out according to planning and quality standards. You check the work of colleagues, guide them through complex repairs and diagnoses, and step in where necessary, for example during busy moments or with specialist tasks.

Additionally, you monitor safety and cleanliness in the workshop and guide new colleagues and interns. You coordinate daily with the service advisors, so that customers are clearly and timely informed about the progress of their car. With your practical and coaching approach, the workshop runs smoothly and the team remains motivated.

What do we ask of you?

You take responsibility, maintain an overview, and know how to bring colleagues along in a positive way. You communicate clearly, switch gears quickly, and remain calm, even when it is busy.

In addition, we ask for:

A completed MBO education in Automotive Technology (level 3 or higher) or Technical Specialist.
Experience in the workshop, preferably in a leading or coaching role.
An APK certificate, or the willingness to obtain this.

Requirements

Due to the strong growth of our mechanic team, we are looking for a working foreman to support the workshop manager.
