The role
What can you expect when you work with us? This, and more.
More impact. You help the workshop run smoothly. With more clarity, quality, and job satisfaction. And with less noise and comebacks. Customers, colleagues, and the entire branch will notice that.
More job satisfaction. Great colleagues? Check. The confidence to do what you are good at? Check. Being at the forefront of one of Europe's largest automotive dealer companies? Check check check!
More opportunities. To grow. To keep challenging yourself. And to contribute ideas for innovation.
More for you. We don't say that for nothing.
Your job as a working foreman
Our Ford workshop does not run on coincidence. It runs on skilled professionals, modern technology, full schedules, and people who know exactly what is happening on the floor. That means you. You are the right hand of the workshop manager and you also work hands-on in the workshop. The workshop manager keeps the big picture in view; you are close to the mechanics, the technology, and the daily practice. You help colleagues move forward, quickly identify what needs attention, and work together with the team to ensure that work is performed well, safely, and according to brand specifications. Because a strong workshop does not run alone. It operates through synergy.
A glimpse of your duties...
You are right in the middle of the action. You work on maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and technical issues. Especially when it involves solving puzzles.
With your professional knowledge, you help colleagues further. You think along, provide practical tips, and ensure calm and clarity on the floor.
Does something get stuck in the planning, parts supply, or customer appointments? Then you signal this in time and coordinate with the workshop manager, service advisors, or the warehouse.
You keep a sharp eye on quality and pace. You check tasks, work orders, time registration, and final inspections, so that repairs are performed correctly and comebacks are prevented.
Working smarter, safer, or tidier? You actively contribute ideas for this. In this way, you work together with the workshop manager and the team to build a safe, well-organized workshop in which collaboration and craftsmanship are central.
The engine behind our success? You and your colleagues!
At the Naaldwijk location, you'll work together with 14 dedicated colleagues. Whoever you turn to, you'll always find someone with a passion for cars. Is there a brand-new model in the showroom? There's a good chance we'll all be gathered around it. We're proud of what we do. And we think in possibilities. Because we certainly have the courage: to try new things, to exceed expectations, and to keep developing ourselves every day.
At Hedin Automotive, you get more
More than you expect. Because besides a passion for cars, we primarily have a heart for our colleagues. A shiny car is fantastic. But a happy colleague? That is what truly adds luster to our work. Count on:
A job of 40 hours per week, with a salary that seriously rewards your knowledge and experience and stands above the collective labor agreement (CAO). We would prefer to welcome you full-time, but we are also happy to discuss 32 or 36 hours.
24 vacation days (for full-time) and the option to purchase an additional 64 leave hours every year.
Plenty of growth and development opportunities, including through training at brand importers or vocational schools that suit your position.
Great extras: such as discounts on the purchase, maintenance, and insurance of your car with us, €15 discount per month on your gym membership, collective health insurance, and a good pension scheme.
An employer that thinks along with you. About working hours, schedules, growth opportunities, and more. And of course, you will receive a pleasant onboarding process and good guidance.
With this knowledge and these skills, you hit the gas
You...
Have a completed technical MBO education in the field of automotive technology, preferably First-Class Automotive Technician or Technical Specialist, and extensive experience in a dealer workshop. APK certification or additional brand, diagnostic, or EV training is a great advantage.
Know today's technology: maintenance, repair, diagnosis, EV and hybrid technology, and modern vehicle systems. This allows you to work effectively yourself and also help colleagues with technical content.
Have experience in guiding or supporting colleagues, or are an experienced first-class automotive mechanic or technical specialist who is ready for more responsibility on the floor.
Work accurately and with a focus on quality. You have an eye for safety, quality, time registration, progress, and the prevention of comebacks.
Coordinate easily with mechanics, the workshop manager, service advisors, and the warehouse. You communicate clearly, make practical choices on the floor, and coordinate when necessary.
