International Project Fitter

You start your day in the workshop with a kick-off for a new project: a complete production line being built and installed at an international customer. Together with engineering, software, and assembly, you discuss the approach. You are responsible for the planning, the budget, and the quality of the project.

During the meeting, you distribute the work among the Field Fitters and Senior Field Fitters and ensure that everyone is deployed efficiently. You coordinate with the production team lead regarding capacity and continuously monitor progress, planning, and costs.

In the workshop at Lan, you manage the assembly of the installation and contribute yourself where necessary, both mechanically and electrically. You check the quality, monitor safety, and report errors in drawings back to engineering. You also manage the project administration, transport, and accommodation for the fitters.

Later, you are on-site at the customer's location to manage the installation and commissioning. You work together with software engineers during testing and serve as the technical point of contact for the customer.

Throughout the project, you identify areas for improvement, make adjustments where necessary, and ensure clear communication within the team. Afterwards, you evaluate the result together with the project team.

With about 15 to 20 weeks of travel per year, no two days are the same in this dynamic international role.
