The role
Your day as a Project Buyer?
Ready to take on challenges? You start your day with a good overview of the progress in your various projects. You have two meetings scheduled with two project teams, for which you proactively prepare for any obstacles that might hinder progress. Clear communication is essential when discussing project status and determining the strategy for the future.
After the meetings, you contact module builders to assess supply chain risks for the next two months. A quick scan of the order portfolio reveals potential obstacles for the coming week and encourages you to approach bottleneck suppliers for special arrangements.
In the afternoon, you sit for your weekly discussion with the Supplier Quality Engineer, where you discuss rejections and inspection findings to secure the supply chain. You prepare for the bottleneck analysis of Project X and ensure efficiency for tomorrow's meeting with the responsible Project Manager.
Before heading home, you follow up on requests for quotations and evaluate them against the budget. After reaching agreement with the project parameters, you collect the necessary approvals and proceed with releasing orders to your strategic partner. Satisfied with what you have achieved today, you look forward to the challenges of tomorrow.
How you get things moving
- HBO or WO degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management;
- You have 1 to 2 years of relevant work experience as a Buyer or within a Supply Chain role;
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English and/or Dutch;
- A growth mindset;
- You are able to establish and develop relationships with suppliers.
Are you a recent graduate, but are you convinced that you have the competencies and skills to fill this position successfully? Then we still want to invite you to apply!
We offer
An entirely new supermarket experience. Huh, what?! Really. As soon as you start working at Lan Handling, you can never shop normally again. From that moment on, you'll be turning cans, jars, and meal bags everywhere. Just to check: yes, we also handle this product with our machines! But, of course, that is not all.
- A work environment full of opportunities to further develop yourself. Good idea? Training wishes? Discuss it with your supervisor and get to work.
- A workplace to frame. With delicious coffee.
- Flexible working hours, so you can make time to exercise, for your hobbies, or simply to take your children to school quietly in the morning.
- In addition to 25 vacation days, you also receive 13 ADV days. So you have plenty of time left to do more fun things alongside your work.
- An annual profit sharing scheme. Because we work from the idea that we do it together and everyone contributes to a positive result for the organization, you benefit from a financially successful year for the organization.
- Go driving a Trabant, go on a tandem to the Trappist monastery, or shine during one of the other fun activities organized by our staff association.
- Delicious Brabant treats when someone has a birthday... or when we have sold another cool project!
