Project Engineer Services

• A gross monthly salary between €3,558 and €4,385 + 8% holiday allowance.

For the Service Project Management department at IHC Smit B.V., we are looking for a Project Engineer Services. In this technically challenging role, you will work both from the office in Kinderdijk and potentially travel to a project location.

The primary task of the Project Engineer Services is the technical preparation, calculation, planning, and technical coordination of service jobs.

The Service Project Management department of IHC Smit B.V. is available 24/7 for Royal IHC's customers and provides operational and technical service anywhere in the world. Our services consist of performing renovations, mobilizations & demobilizations, warranty work, repair jobs, maintenance, training, inspection and, or operational & technical support for Royal IHC's customers.

• Developing a Scope of Work: compiling a documentation package, researching the correct QA/QC matters and Safety, Health & Environment conditions, in accordance with Royal IHC's SHE Policy, and assessing facilitating conditions to be able to carry out the work.
• The ability to empathize with and incorporate the Scope of Work when working at a non-IHC location. Deepening knowledge of locally available facilities and services.
• Providing technical specifications according to contract or customer requirements and arranging technical drawings and instructions for the efficient execution of the work and material logistics.
• Setting up a schedule for the work and being able to integrate this into a more comprehensive schedule that also includes any dependencies on other activities.
• Setting up a cost estimate (calculation) for the work: estimating hours per required discipline, as well as making an estimate of items to be purchased (material and/or services).
• Advising suppliers and/or subcontractors regarding a Scope of Work and technical content.
• Identifying and formulating work methods and work sequences in the Scope of Work for service activities worldwide, including those of our Service Centers.
• The ability to integrate a Scope of Work provided by a supplier and/or subcontractor into the schedule.
• Briefing, coaching, and debriefing Field Service engineers, in close consultation and coordination with the Supervisors, Superintendents and/or Service Project managers.
• Filling in technical files in the (ERP) system.
• Defining drawings, diagrams, and material lists for subcomponents in the ERP system based on the specification provided by the supplier.
• Providing technical solutions and advice from OEM expertise.
• Issuing technical purchase orders (purchase proposal) to support the Supply Chain Organization of IHC.
• When traveling to a job, ensuring correct (financial) administration of the performed work and services provided, so that invoicing can be followed up more easily and quickly.
