As a Junior Project Manager, you are responsible for coordinating and successfully completing our real estate projects and you become part of a dynamic environment in which you become part of various project teams. From the very first initiative through to completion, you are involved in the design and execution of various projects. You are responsible for end-to-end service delivery and ensure that projects are realized within the set time, budget, and quality standards.

In your role, you support the Project Manager, and for smaller projects, you take the lead independently. You are part of a dynamic environment and work together with various project teams on diverse projects. The type of project varies from small renovations to large-scale redevelopments in various sectors, such as offices, logistics halls, or laboratories.

You will be engaged in a diverse range of tasks, including:

• Project coordination: Monitoring and documenting project progress, performance indicators, and changes.
• Process management: setting up effective processes and systems that are used throughout the entire project.
• Reporting and communication: drafting project plans, formal progress reports, and written communication materials.
• Stakeholder management: Maintaining contact with clients, contractors, and designers and attending meetings, including drafting minutes.
• Research and analysis: Conducting background research, data collection, and benchmarking.

This is what your  working day as a Junior Project Manager could look like:

You eat breakfast at home or on the go because you get in the car early to drive to one of your projects. The day starts with a construction meeting that you chair, so you make sure to arrive on time to do a quick walkthrough beforehand. After the meeting, you walk through the sites that need extra attention with the suppliers. You work on-site for another hour to draft your minutes and send them out.

Just before lunch, you drive to the office: you have several appointments with colleagues in the afternoon. There, you grab a nice lunch at the office and hear what others are working on.

After lunch, you have some time to answer emails, work on the schedule, and place some orders. After that, you have a project meeting, where everything is coordinated and thought through with the team. The project takes more and more shape. Before you end the day, you drive home early to beat the traffic. You handle the last few emails at home, and then the working day is already over!
