We don't need to tell you anything about working safely. As an HSE Employee, you know everything about well-being and hygiene and the regulations that go along with it. You know how to convey this with knowledge and clear explanations. In such a way that your colleagues want to adapt their behavior and working methods accordingly. Additionally, you also ensure that our food safety remains guaranteed at all times.

You will be working at a mechanized distribution center in Nieuwegein. As an HSE Employee, you are responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and adjusting the Jumbo regulations regarding (food) safety, well-being, and hygiene. Naturally, you ensure that these are in line with the applicable laws and regulations. Additionally, you provide information to managers and Employees in the field of HSE so that your colleagues can do their work safely and healthily.

Alongside your operational tasks, you are a sparring partner for the management team. You identify bottlenecks, provide substantiated advice, and think along about improvements. For this, you participate in a meeting with the MT once every four weeks.

Your package of tasks consists of, among other things:

• Various files regarding the business contingency plan, Arbo (occupational health and safety) matters, and accidents;
• Drafting, implementing, and maintaining the RI&E (Risk Inventory and Evaluation);
• Planning, coordinating, directing as head of BHV (Emergency Response) and organizing evacuation drills and BHV/First Aid exercises in consultation with the training department;
• Performing inspections and providing periodic reports regarding (food) safety, well-being, health, and environment;
• Identifying, analyzing, and developing possible solutions and implementing them, whether or not in consultation with managers and Employees.

Additionally, you are a connector, socially skilled, and dare to stand before a group. You will be working in the Facilities department in a team of enthusiastic colleagues. And further:

• You have an MBO plus level of work and thought.
• You have completed an MVK (Occupational Health and Safety Specialist) training or are willing to obtain it.
• You have up-to-date knowledge of developments within the field.
• It is a position of 32-36 hours per week.
