Sustainability & Optimization Internship: Make an Impact on Industry and the Climate

At Ivy Global, a dynamic project agency for young technical talent, your development is central. You will work primarily from our vibrant office on the TU/e campus under the guidance of an experienced professional. If your curriculum allows, you will directly apply the knowledge gained at one or more of our industrial clients. Within Team Utilities, we are starting with a brand-new, strategic subject focused on energy saving and sustainability in the manufacturing industry. You will get the unique opportunity to analyze and optimize an industrial utility network from A to Z.

Depending on your interest and educational background, you will choose a focus area within our three levels of depth (Generation, Distribution, or Users):

1. Steam & Heat Technology: Optimization of industrial boilers and degassers, waste heat research, or mapping heat loss and steam buffers in the piping network.
2. Water Treatment & Circularity: Research into optimizing source pumps and advanced purification techniques to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact.
3. Compressed Air & Efficiency: Efficiency measurements on compressors and setting up an innovative ultrasonic leak detection program to combat direct energy waste.
4. Sustainable Heat & Cold: Feasibility studies on the integration of geothermal energy, industrial heat pumps, and solar collectors.

With your research, you provide direct value to our clients and help to structurally reduce the CO2 emissions of Dutch industry!

We are looking for enthusiastic HBO or WO students who have an affinity for sustainability and technology. More important than your exact educational background is that you:

• Are curious and solution-oriented.
• Have an interest in energy saving and sustainable technologies.
• Can work well independently, but are also a team player.
• Have a proactive attitude and enjoy putting ideas into practice.
