Claims Handler

• Minimum 3 years of experience in handling commercial claims
• Experience with disability (AOV) claims is a plus; curiosity about it is a must
• You have Wft Basis; Wft Schade zakelijk (and private) is a plus
• You communicate clearly in Dutch and English, both orally and in writing. We work with an international team, so you will use English daily
• You are critical and analytical, and you dare to make a decision and explain it

Insify is looking for a Claims Handler who handles commercial claims and disability (AOV) files and also helps build how we do it. You will get your own mandate, a small team, and a direct line to our insurers. And the space to do it better than you are used to.

• Intake, handling, and settlement of commercial claims (liability, inventory, and goods)
• Intakes of customers becoming disabled, and handling of objections to disability (AOV) claims
• Contact with experts, lawyers, and other insurers
• Direct coordination with our insurers and reinsurers
• Speaking to customers, supporting, and advising them, even when the news is not good
• Making other teams within Insify sharper with what you see in files: from product to underwriting
• Helping build the future of claims handling: automation of repetitive work, smart use of AI, and sharper fraud detection

You are good at your craft. You know how to quickly grasp a file, when an expert is needed, and how to explain a decision to a customer who is just having a bad day. What you probably lack is influence over how that work is organized: the systems, the processes, the good ideas that get left behind.

At Insify, that changes. You handle claims in the areas of general liability, professional liability, and inventory and goods. Additionally, you perform intakes for customers becoming disabled and handle objections to disability (AOV) claims. You do this in a small, sharp team, as a delegated agent for large insurers and reinsurers. That means a clear, individual mandate from day one and direct contact with the risk carriers, without intermediate layers.

You will quickly get a complete picture, even remotely, and you know when a case needs external expertise and when it does not. You provide strong substantiation for your decisions, both towards the customer and the insurer. And within your mandate, you determine how you work yourself: no bureaucracy, just your insight and the freedom to act on it.

The best part of this role: you don't just handle claims, you help reshape the process itself. We use technology and AI to take the repetitive work out of your day, so you can spend your time on the matters where a human truly makes the difference. You help decide what we automate, what we specifically do not automate, and how we make our fraud detection sharper. You are therefore helping to build the solution, instead of leaving it to another team.

We are currently bringing our disability (AOV) claims handling in-house. If you have experience with AOV, you will play a key role in it. If you come from commercial claims and are curious about AOV, we will train you in it.
