Education & certifications

  • Technical education at HBO level, or MBO 4 with relevant experience, plus 5-10 years of experience in (commissioning of) industrial refrigeration installations.

  • Thorough knowledge of cooling and heat pump systems, including demonstrable experience with NH₃ and insight into the requirements of the PED and the Machinery Directive.

  • Qualification in the field of electrical engineering (NEN EN 50110 / NEN 3140 Competent Person) and in possession of STEK/F-Gas and VCA Basis (or willingness to obtain these).

  • Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written, and good practical knowledge of Microsoft Office.

  • Flexible attitude regarding working hours, including occasional irregular shifts based on customer needs.

The role

Within our BU Heating and Refrigeration Solutions (HRS), we are looking for a Supervisor. In this role, you will be part of the supervision and commissioning team within the Benelux Projects department in 's-Hertogenbosch. The Benelux Projects department is responsible for designing, building, and commissioning high-quality technical solutions for the industrial heat pump and cooling sector.

What you'll do

As a Supervisor, you will work independently, lead the team onsite, and work closely with the Project Manager. The department this position falls under is centrally managed from our headquarters in 's-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. The work area focuses primarily on projects in the Benelux, but can also be worldwide. You report to the Manager Supervision and Commissioning.

This is what you will do:

  • As Supervisor, you are the first point of contact on the construction site and are responsible for managing the operational staff, including subcontractors. You coordinate and monitor safety, quality, and planning, and adjust course where necessary.

  • Leadership: gives a team clear instructions; takes charge; deploys people and resources so that objectives are achieved.

  • Team player: enjoys working together to achieve team goals and shares information with the team. Also acts as a supporting factor. Switches smoothly when establishing contact with and approaching different stakeholders.

  • Stress resistant: remains calm and objective and can handle difficult situations; continues to perform well under pressure; accepts criticism without reacting hostiley or defensively.

  • Judgment: makes rational, realistic, and well-founded decisions, based on an assessment of all available facts and alternatives.

  • Takes initiative: is proactive, a self-starter, seizes opportunities, and takes action; actively influences events.

  • Communicative: communicates clearly, fluently, and to the point, and knows how to hold attention. Supervises, follows up on, and addresses colleagues regarding the preventive application of (safety) regulations, the use of personal protective equipment, and compliance with procedures. Informs the customer about the progress of the installation work and actively participates in progress meetings where necessary.
