The role

Have you always been curious about the impact of crypto markets, geopolitical tensions, and the role of ESG greenwashing on financial markets? During an internship at our Financial Regulatory practice, you will get the chance to work on current and challenging issues that touch upon these themes.

You will collaborate with a wide range of financial parties, such as banks, asset managers, private equity firms, listed companies, and FinTech companies. You will also work closely with our M&A practice, where you will be involved in strategic processes, regulatory change, and cross-border transactions.

Our practice offers you unique insights into the dynamics between financial supervision and complex corporate transactions. Together with our international Freshfields offices, you will get the chance to work on issues that extend beyond national financial regulations. This enables you to develop a broad perspective on both national and international markets and regulators.

Student internship

Through a two-month student internship, we give students the opportunity to gain practical experience and get to know the firm in a challenging way. During these two months, your personal development and progress are the priority. Through personal guidance from experienced lawyers and a place in the team, we ensure that you truly become part of our practice. Through our motto 'Excellent, and not too serious', we create an environment in which you are constantly challenged, but where there is certainly also room for a healthy sense of humor.

What is required of you?

Final stage of Bachelor's or Master's
Civil effect (or you intend to obtain this)
Demonstrable legal interest
You are social, proactive, and enthusiastic
Fluent in both Dutch and English
