Nice to have
This job advert was originally written in Dutch.
You are social, curious, and enjoy speaking with different people.
You communicate easily, work accurately, and dare to take responsibility.
A degree in the direction of commercial economics, finance, business, hospitality, or a similar field aligns well, but is not decisive.
We do not expect experience in finance. We do expect interest in it.
You are creative, curious, and follow what is happening in marketing and online media.
You enjoy coming up with ideas, but are not afraid to subsequently execute them yourself.
For example, you are following a degree in marketing, communication, commercial economics, media, or business.
Experience with content creation, social media, design, video, or marketing tools is a plus, but we find enthusiasm and initiative at least as important.
Interest in economics, investing, or financial markets is a plus. We do not expect you to be able to explain the difference between a troy ounce and a regular ounce upon arrival. That will come naturally.
You work accurately, enjoy working with numbers, and want to understand what is happening behind those numbers.
You are following a higher professional or university education in, for example, Finance & Control, Accountancy, Business Economics, Economics & Business Economics, or a similar field.
You are analytical, handy with Excel or similar tools, and find it interesting to understand processes.
Experience in finance is not required. Curiosity, responsibility and an eye for detail are.
A working internship in which you are truly involved from the start
A lot of responsibility and space to take things on independently
Guidance from experienced colleagues within your field
A market-conforming internship allowance
A look behind the scenes at a regulated financial organization
A lot of knowledge about investing, gold, and financial markets
Short lines and direct contact with various teams within the organization
Space to contribute and implement your own ideas
An informal and entrepreneurial working atmosphere
An office in the heart of Amsterdam
And if it suits both sides, we are naturally happy to see if there are possibilities to stay after your internship
More than 150,000 investors trust GoldRepublic with over €1.5 billion in precious metals. We make investing in physical gold, silver, and platinum accessible and, as a regulated platform, combine technology with personal service. And we do this with a relatively small team based in Amsterdam.
That is why we regularly look for interns who don't just want to observe, but actually want to contribute. Whether you are interested in customer contact, marketing, or finance: during your internship, you will receive responsibility, work together with experienced colleagues, and see firsthand how a fast-growing financial company operates. This is not an internship where you spend three months watching from the sidelines. You will become part of the team and work on projects and tasks that actually matter.
Depending on your studies, interests, and talents, you can intern with us in one of three areas: Account Management, Marketing, or Finance.
As an Account Management intern, you will be fully involved within our account management team and will have contact with our customers from the very beginning. These are very different people. From someone getting acquainted with investing in gold for the first time to experienced investors with a large portfolio.
You will help customers with questions about their accounts, transactions, and our services, and support our account managers in maintaining customer relationships. As you get to know GoldRepublic and our customers better, you will get increasing space to handle matters independently.
In addition, you will automatically gain a lot of insight into financial markets. A sudden movement in the gold price, an interest rate decision, or unrest on the stock market is often reflected immediately in our customers' behavior and questions.
As a Marketing intern, you will join a team that deals with much more than just advertisements and social media.
We create our own videos and podcasts, develop campaigns, organize events, work together with external experts and partners, and continuously respond to what is happening in the financial world.
One week you might work on a campaign revolving around gold or silver, the next week on the launch of a new content format, an event, social content, or a campaign that didn't even exist yesterday because the news suddenly provided a reason for it. This gives you the chance to discover different sides of marketing and find out where your strengths lie.
As a Finance intern, you will get a look behind the scenes of a financial platform where large flows of money and transactions are processed daily. This means that accuracy is not an administrative detail to us. It is essential.
You will work together with our finance colleagues and support financial administration, reporting, controls, and analyses. At the same time, you will learn how finance works together with, among others, operations, compliance, and management within a regulated organization.
In doing so, we don't just want to teach you how to perform tasks, but also why they are necessary and what the numbers tell you about a company.
Whichever direction you choose, an internship at GoldRepublic means that you truly become part of the team.
