Legal Internship (WO)

During this internship, you will fully participate within the Legal team at HEMA and gain a good insight into the legal issues within a large organization like HEMA. You will support various files in the fields of contract law, corporate law, employment law, franchise, privacy, compliance, and intellectual property law. Within multidisciplinary projects, you will provide a substantive contribution and work together with team members within Legal and colleagues from various departments. You will also think along about the impact on HEMA of new laws and regulations, for example regarding sustainability (ESG) and artificial intelligence. In short, you will see all sorts of things come your way, and work on various files, but you will also receive responsibility for certain tasks within Legal, such as maintaining privacy registers, for example. Researching relevant legislation, reviewing contracts, and preparing legal correspondence are also part of your daily activities. After your internship, you will be able to look back on a varied, educational, and above all fun internship, and you will have gained a good insight into what the work of an in-house counsel entails.

• You are pursuing a university master's degree with a specialization in Civil Law, Corporate Law, Artificial Intelligence & Law, Information Law, or a comparable field of study. HBO law students or advanced university bachelor students are also welcome to apply.
• You are looking for an (internship/working internship) starting in February 2027, for 5 days per week and for a period of at least 20 weeks. It is possible to conduct research into a specific topic or problem during this internship.
• You have a good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written. English is a plus.
• You work accurately and in a structured manner and love to bring order to information and files.
• You are proactive, eager to learn, and like to take responsibility in your work.
• You enjoy working together, but can also work well independently.
