The role
Using steel and aluminium, shipyard Slob builds the hulls and deckhouses for the impressive Feadships. Every hull is a new challenge. Precision work that repeatedly results in a mirror-smooth hull for a new superyacht. As a welder, you make an important contribution to this. Fusing the hundreds of steel and aluminium sectional parts requires great craftsmanship. Especially because we set very high standards for the appearance of the weld. Can you make them into a single whole?
What you'll do
- You independently perform high-quality welding work on carbon steel, stainless steel, and Duplex. Sometimes you combine these materials in a single assignment. You weld material thicknesses from 5 to 20 millimeters.
- You master the MAG 135 - 136 and 138 welding processes (Buttwelds and Filletwelds);
- Welding in all positions, in sectional construction and the outfitting of a yacht;
- Delivering your welding work neatly without imperfections (free of slag and spatter);
- Contributing to a safe and efficient working environment.
- A healthy work mentality: you enjoy coming to work, but you also find your work-life balance important;
Our offer
- Stability: Annual contract and subsequent permanent employment (upon a positive assessment). We have a well-filled order book, allowing us to keep our people continuously working;
- Profession-specific training such as: VCA, welding courses;
- Possibility to participate in BHV (Emergency Response);
- Internal guidance so that you can develop (further);
- CAO Metalelektro, 27 days off + 13 ADV days;
- Overtime compensation Monday through Saturday 175%, Sundays and public holidays 225%;
- Active Staff Association;
