Senior Consultant Finance Transformation (financial sector)

• 3-5 years of experience in finance transformation, finance consulting, or as a financial professional with a strong change mindset.
• A completed university master's degree, preferably in business administration, economics, finance, accountancy, econometrics, data, or a similar field.
• Affinity with the financial sector and interest in the agenda of CFOs and finance functions; for Senior Consultants, preferably supplemented with relevant sector experience.
• Knowledge of or interest in financial processes, finance operating models, performance management, closing, consolidation, and reporting transformation.
• Interest in project-based working and technology-driven finance transformation, including ERP, EPM, workflow, and automation solutions; for Senior Consultants, experience in coordinating a sub-project or workflow is preferred.
• Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, combined with strong analytical, communicative, and collaborative skills and a proactive, eager-to-learn, and result-oriented attitude. If you do not yet master the Dutch language, you are willing to learn it quickly.

Your new job | About your key responsibilities
As Senior Consultant Finance Transformation - Financial Sector, you will primarily focus on banks, insurers, pension organizations, asset managers, fintechs, and other financial institutions.

You will be part of the Finance Transformation competence within CFO Consulting. Financial services is your sector focus. You will work across the full breadth of Finance Transformation and participate in projects.

Our Finance Transformation competence supports clients across the full spectrum of financial transformation: from defining future operating models and governance structures to implementing process improvements, digital capabilities, and supporting technologies.

We work with CFOs and senior finance stakeholders on issues such as:

• Translating finance strategy into future-proof operating models, organizational structures, governance, and clear end-to-end process ownership.
• Deploying Finance Technology as an engine for transformation, including ERP and EPM platforms, workflow and automation solutions, and digital finance capabilities.
• Shaping and realizing complex finance transformation programs, from the ambition and business case to implementation and anchoring within the organization.
• Strengthening planning, forecasting, performance management, closing processes, consolidation, reporting, and decision-making through process improvement, standardization, and appropriate Finance Technology.
• Collaborating on advisory and transformation trajectories for CFOs and finance stakeholders within the financial sector, focused on finance strategy, operating models, and transformation priorities.
• Contributing to the redesign and implementation of future finance core processes such as FP&A, Record-to-Report, closing, consolidation, Order-to-Cash, and Procure-to-Pay.
• Helping to improve finance functions through standardization, automation, and technology-driven transformation, in collaboration with technology colleagues and EY alliance partners.
• Collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams and with client stakeholders; as a Senior Consultant, independently coordinating parts of projects or workstreams.
• Contributing to client relationships, propositions, and the development of the Finance Transformation competence and, as a Senior Consultant, providing substantive guidance to less experienced consultants and identifying commercial opportunities.
