Manager Finance Transformation (financial sector)

• At least 5 to 8 years of relevant work experience in finance transformation, finance consulting, or as a financial manager/controller with a strong change mindset.
• Demonstrable experience within the financial sector and a good understanding of the agenda of CFOs and financial functions in this sector.
• Strong insight into financial processes, finance operating models, governance, performance management, closing processes, consolidation, and reporting transformation.
• Demonstrable experience with finance transformation programs, including technology-driven change with ERP, EPM, workflow, and automation solutions such as SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms.
• The ability to connect sector-specific issues with broader Finance Transformation capabilities, multidisciplinary solutions, and commercial opportunities, while building sustainable relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages, combined with a structured, analytical, result-oriented, and entrepreneurial attitude and strong leadership and collaboration skills. If you do not yet master the Dutch language, you are willing to learn it.

Your new job | About your key responsibilities
As Manager Finance Transformation - Financial Sector, you will primarily focus on banks, insurers, pension organizations, asset managers, fintechs, and other financial institutions.

You will be part of the Finance Transformation competence within CFO Consulting. Financial services is your sector focus. With your experience, you will contribute to Finance Transformation, connecting sector-specific issues with the expertise of colleagues from other finance themes that are relevant to clients.

Our Finance Transformation competence supports clients across the full spectrum of financial transformation: from defining future operating models and governance structures to implementing process improvements, digital capabilities, and supporting technologies.

We work with CFOs and senior finance stakeholders on issues such as:

• Translating finance strategy into future-proof operating models, organizational structures, governance, and clear end-to-end process ownership.
• Deploying Finance Technology as an engine for transformation, including ERP and EPM platforms, workflow and automation solutions, and digital finance capabilities.
• Shaping and realizing complex finance transformation programs, from the ambition and business case to implementation and anchoring within the organization.
• Strengthening planning, forecasting, performance management, closing processes, consolidation, reporting, and decision-making through process improvement, standardization, and appropriate Finance Technology.
• Acting as a substantive sparring partner for CFOs and senior finance stakeholders within the financial sector and advising them on finance strategy, operating models, and transformation priorities.
• Taking responsibility for the scope, approach, planning, quality, and results of complex finance transformation projects, while managing multidisciplinary teams and workflows.
• Directing analyses of finance processes, data, organizational structures, and technology, and translating the outcomes into supported designs, implementation roadmaps, and concrete improvements, utilizing standardization, automation, and technology-driven transformation.
• Guiding clients in the design and implementation of future finance operating models, governance frameworks, and the transformation of core processes such as FP&A, Record-to-Report, closing processes, consolidation, Order-to-Cash, and Procure-to-Pay, in close collaboration with technology colleagues and EY alliance partners.
• Building and maintaining sustainable relationships with senior client stakeholders, leading proposals and business development trajectories, and identifying and developing new commercial opportunities.
• Coaching and substantively guiding less experienced consultants and actively contributing to their development, the team culture, and the further building of competence.
