Are you an independent site manager with experience in residential construction, high-rise, or industrial construction, and are you looking for a role with responsibility, variety, and impact? Then you are the one we are looking for!
This will be your job
As a site manager, you are the hub on the construction site. You are responsible for the daily management of our residential construction projects. You can work within ground-up residential construction, high-rise residential construction, or industrial construction. You lead the team, coordinate the deployment of equipment, monitor progress, and ensure quality. You work closely with various departments and external partners to ensure the construction process runs smoothly. You ensure an efficient and successful delivery, within schedule and with an eye for detail.
Dura Vermeer is an independent family business. And you can notice that. In how we work together, look out for one another, and build with an eye for future generations. Since 1855, we have been building the Netherlands, in residential construction, utility construction, infrastructure, and technology. Our independence and long-term vision form the basis for this.
With a turnover of € 2.6 billion and over 3,700 colleagues, we are among the top of the Dutch construction sector. But ultimately, it is not about those figures for us. It is about people. About colleagues working together on projects you can be proud of—iconic and close to home—and contributing to solutions for societal issues.
Our ambitions are big. And we can only achieve them with committed people. That's why we invest in good employer practices and a working environment where you feel at home. Where you can be yourself, feel safe and speak your mind. So that you get the best out of yourself and, together with us, make more.
Dura Vermeer Bouw en Vastgoed Rotterdam is a large operating company within the Dura Vermeer Group and operates as a developing builder in the South Holland region. We specialize in building homes, both multi-story and ground-bound, and utility buildings, with a focus on new construction projects.
Our team is divided into six independent value streams, each with its own expertise. Within these teams, which consist of approximately 35 colleagues, we work together with all necessary disciplines. The structure is flat and without unnecessary hierarchy, which ensures pleasant, efficient cooperation. In this way, we combine the advantages of a large company with the warm, personal atmosphere of smaller-scale teams: the value streams.
An informal atmosphere prevails with us, with a typically Rotterdam mentality: hard work, but also hard laughter. We help each other where necessary and, thanks to the safe and inclusive working environment where everyone can be themselves, we are known as a great place to work!
A completed MBO or HBO education in civil engineering or another "technical" related field;
Experience as a site manager in residential construction,
Thorough knowledge of construction methods and techniques.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to motivate a team and ensure a safe working environment.
Affinity with modern communication tools such as computers and tablets.
Problem-solving ability and a pragmatic attitude.
