SUMMARY OF THE ROLE Supervisor Large Cranes for Mammoet Europe Location: Europe Do you have extensive experience within heavy lifting and do you know better than anyone how to bring people, equipment, and activities together safely and efficiently? Do you want to work on international heavy lifting and transport projects where no two days are the same? At Mammoet, we are looking for experienced Supervisors who make a difference on the shop floor. You are responsible for directing and coordinating daily activities and ensuring that projects are executed safely, according to schedule, and in accordance with applicable working methods. You work closely with crane operators, riggers, operators, engineers, and project management. With your technical knowledge, leadership, and practical attitude, you ensure that complex lifting and transport operations run smoothly. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING leading and coordinating daily activities on the project; Directing and supervising riggers, crane operators, and other operational staff; Overseeing a safe, efficient, and correct execution of lifting and transport activities; Coordinating the mobilization, assembly, deployment, and demobilization of equipment; Checking whether activities are carried out according to work plans, procedures, and instructions; Overseeing the correct deployment and configuration of cranes and lifting equipment; Identifying and resolving operational problems on the shop floor; Coordinating activities with the Project Manager, Site Manager, engineers, and other involved parties; Monitoring progress and adjusting activities where necessary; Conducting toolbox meetings and promoting safe working; Reporting on progress, specifics, and any deviations; Ensuring that all work is carried out safely, qualitatively, and according to schedule. WHAT YOU'LL NEED At least 5 years of demonstrable experience within heavy lifting, lifting operations, or heavy transport; Demonstrable experience in a supervisory or coordinating role on the shop floor; Good technical knowledge of cranes, lifting equipment, and lifting operations; Preferably experience with large crawler cranes and/or heavy lift cranes; Experience with complex lifting operations and preferably with super lift and luffing jib; Able to understand and apply technical drawings, lifting plans, and work plans; Strong communication and organizational skills; Safety is always your top priority; Category B driver's license; Good command of the English language, both spoken and written; Willingness to work internationally and be away from home for longer periods; Valid work and residence permit for Europe.
