Trainee Construction

• A relevant mbo, hbo, or wo diploma in a construction-related field. For example: civil engineering or construction management.

• A commercial and eager-to-learn attitude. 

• Strong communication skills. 

• The salary for this position starts at € 3,100.- gross per month (based on 40 hours), excluding 8% holiday allowance.

• With a view to a sustainable collaboration, we offer you a one-year contract after a probationary period of one month. Upon mutual agreement, this will be extended for another year after it expires.

• On top of salary comes a fixed amount for the Sustainable Employability Budget for things that contribute to staying healthy and motivated (2.3% according to the Bouw & Infra collective labor agreement).

• 43 leave days according to the Bouw & Infra collective labor agreement. Of these days, 13 are paid out in your individual budget; you can choose to buy these days back;

• A laptop and a smartphone.

• Excellent secondary employment conditions such as standard insurance for all employee risks, pension schemes, an extra supplement in case of disability, and a contribution towards trade union membership.

Get to know the process of a developing construction company in practice. As a construction trainee at Dura Vermeer Bouw en Vastgoed Hengelo, you will get the chance to orient yourself by being active as a trainee within the roles of works planner, BIM modeller, and site manager. Within 2 years, you will get to know our company in its full breadth. Here, you will get the chance to work, think, and develop on innovative assignments within the North, Central, and East Netherlands regions. From 2027, we will once again have plenty of space for multiple trainees.

You will perform 4 roles over a period of 2 years and will work both within the office organization and on the construction site. Roles that you may perform during the traineeship include: site manager, works planner, estimator, and office staff member.
