Design Manager

• A completed HBO or WO degree in Civil Engineering.

• Relevant work experience as a design manager or design leader and ready for the next step.

• Experience with integrated projects.

• Knowledge of relevant design software and tools.

• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.

• The salary for this position is between €6,512 and €9,512 gross per month (based on 40 hours), excluding 8% holiday allowance. The exact salary depends on your knowledge, level, and work experience;

• On top of the salary comes a fixed amount for the Sustainable Employability Budget for things that contribute to staying healthy and motivated (2.3% according to CAO Bouw & Infra);

• 43 leave days according to the Cao Bouw & Infra. Of these days, 13 are paid out in your individual budget; you can choose to buy these days back;

Do you want to get started with the largest and most challenging construction projects at Dura Vermeer? Are you able to lead the design process for complex projects in the field of infrastructure and civil engineering?

As a design manager at Dura Vermeer Landelijke Projecten, you will work on both Design & Construct and 2-phase projects. You are responsible for managing an integrated design team for projects with a scale exceeding 100 million euros. From within the core team, you organize the management and execution of the design phase for the entire project, and you act as an initiator in the fields of sustainability and digitalization. You ensure an optimal integrated design in all project phases and monitor and safeguard the project goals regarding time, money, and quality. Additionally, you are responsible for drafting, implementing, and monitoring a design and tender strategy, and for coordination with stakeholders, clients, and core team members and their disciplines. To ensure the constructability of the design, you work intensively with work preparers, Project Managers, and design leaders.

As a design manager, you will work on various infrastructure projects in the Netherlands, together with driven colleagues from different disciplines. You will become part of the Design Management department, within the Design cluster. The cluster currently consists of approximately 120 colleagues, through whom we fulfill our ambition as a designing builder. You will get the chance to work on large-scale, multidisciplinary projects ranging from 25 million to well above 100 million euros. Take, for example, the construction of the A16 near Rotterdam, the renewal of the Nieuwe Meer junction near Amsterdam, various dike reinforcement projects such as those at Tiel Waardenburg or Arcen, or the construction of land stations.
