Cost Expert in Amsterdam

• The salary for this position is between € 5,639 and € 8,107 gross per month (based on 40 hours), excluding 8% holiday allowance. The exact salary depends on your knowledge, level, and work experience.

• On top of salary comes a fixed amount for the Sustainable Employability Budget for things that contribute to staying healthy and motivated (2.3% according to the Bouw & Infra collective labor agreement).

• With an eye on a long-term relationship, we offer you an indefinite contract immediately.

• 43 leave days according to the Bouw & Infra collective labor agreement. Of these days, 13 are paid out in your individual budget; you can choose to buy these days back;

As a cost expert, you work on some of the most complex construction tasks in the Amsterdam region. From inner-city residential projects and large-scale area developments to challenging utility construction: projects where budgets are not an endpoint, but form the basis for important decisions.

You are involved from the initiation phase and sit at the table with developers, project managers, design leaders, and clients. You do not only prepare budgets and risk analyses, but also advise on financial feasibility, project risks, and optimal execution strategies. With this, you have a direct influence on investment decisions, tender processes, and the course of projects.

It is precisely that combination of substantive depth and strategic involvement that makes this role interesting. You are given plenty of room to make independent assessments, identify opportunities, and develop alternatives that make projects smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable. Furthermore, you are not just brought in when the design is finished, but you contribute to thinking about the best solution from the very beginning.

In addition, you play an active role within our estimation department. Together with other experienced estimators and cost experts, you brainstorm about complex issues, share knowledge, and work on the further development of the profession. Think of the digitalization of the estimation process, BIM, data-driven working, and process improvements that contribute to more predictable and manageable projects.
