What you'll get

The full-time gross monthly salary is at least € 3,296.00 and at most € 4,705.00 for a 36-hour work week (CAO Gehandicaptenzorg, scale 50).

  • A thorough induction process in a pleasant working atmosphere. You will be paired with an experienced colleague, have regular intervision meetings, and will be offered multiple trainings/courses. After one year of employment, you can claim your training budget.

The role

Make a difference for people with a disability? Strengthen our MEE team! In the municipality of Lansingerland, we have a vacancy for the challenging position of Client Supporter for youth with a disability. You will work together with the municipality of Lansingerland.

You can work 24 to 36 hours per week. At MEE, you do not have to work on weekends. It is a plus if you are SKJ-registered, or if you can obtain this registration in the short term, or if you are open to obtaining an SKJ registration.

What you'll do

As a client support worker at MEE, you will work in a self-managing team of 6 colleagues based at MEE Rotterdam Rijnmond. You will provide client support focused on questions concerning children and young people. You will deal with all kinds of issues. Together with the parents and the family's network, you will look for the right help for the client. Working as a client support worker at MEE means working with families facing multiple issues in various areas of life. Think of parenting questions, debt, or school dropout. Together with the client, you will examine what the problem is and what solutions exist. You will visit clients at home or support them during appointments with schools, providers, or agencies.

If specialist help or long-term support is needed, you will approach the municipality together with the client and write a support plan. The municipality will then examine the possibilities from the perspective of the Youth Act (Jeugdwet) or the WMO. In this, you will seek coordination and conduct consultations.

You will also carry out Early Help trajectories (Vroeghulptrajecten) for children between 0-7 years old. During this trajectory, you support parents who have concerns about their child. In doing so, you will create a clarification of the request for help, in which you describe the child's development based on conversations with parents and other involved agencies. Additionally, you support them during multidisciplinary consultations with a youth doctor and behavioral expert and, if desired, help with the implementation of the given advice.

In addition to the work as a client supporter, the position also includes some secondary tasks. These may consist of giving a "brusjes" course or organizing a parent info and contact evening about various themes. You might also consider participating in various tables within the municipality to provide advice regarding how to deal with the target group.

As a client supporter for MEE, you always stand beside the client; you look at what someone can do themselves. You support the strengthening of the social network surrounding the client. You map out the request and look at what can be deployed from the preceding field. If necessary, you will take case management responsibility.

Our offer

You will be offered a one-year contract with the intention of entering into a long-term collaboration if performance is good. We would be happy to explain this further in an interview.

We offer good secondary employment conditions, including

  • An end-of-year bonus of 8.33% of the gross annual salary and an 8% holiday allowance;

  • Market-conforming travel allowance and an NS Businesscard for work;

  • 201 leave hours (full-time) per year, with the possibility to buy and sell leave hours;

  • Discount with favorable conditions on various insurances from Centraal Beheer;

  • A good pension at PFZW, the pension fund voted best in the Netherlands in 2021;

  • A laptop and a smartphone;

  • Full reimbursement of the costs for a current Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and SKJ registration.
