Sometimes it is noticed immediately. A student who goes quiet. Behavior that changes. Or a young person who simply cannot cope for a moment. As a youth professional at school, you are there. Not from a distance, but right in the middle of practice. You see what is happening, make the connection, and ensure a child can move forward again. At Scala Jeugdprofessionals, you work at schools in the region and make a daily impact: Small where possible, large where necessary.

What are you going to do?
You are visibly present at school and easily approachable for students, parents, and teachers. You switch gears quickly, think practically, and always work from what a student is capable of. Within Scala, you work in one of the teams: access, analysis, assistance, or management. As a Youth Professional at School, you are part of the Access team.

• Identifies concerns regarding behavior, development, and home situation at an early stage;

• Conducts conversations with students and parents and provides a clear picture of the situation;

• Offers short-term guidance and educational support;

• Develops a support plan together with the family, implements it, or refers them onward;

• Works closely with teachers, care coordinators, and internal supervisors;

• Coordinates with neighborhood partners when more support is needed;

• Monitors safety and progress.

• Onboarding program and development opportunities via the Scala Leerhuis.

• HBO degree (e.g., Social Work or Pedagogy);

• Minimum 1 year of experience in the field;

• Experience with families and complex situations;

• SKJ registration or the possibility to obtain it;

• Strong communication and analytical skills;

• You are solution-oriented, decisive, and reflective;
