Accounts Payable & Financial Controller

As Accounts Payable & Financial Controller, you are co-responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of our financial administration - one of the most important pillars for decision-making within Crisp. You combine the daily management of accounts payable with challenging control activities, data analyses, and the automation of our processes using modern tools and AI.

Every day, you work with a friendly team full of driven people. We have experience in business control, accounting, corporate finance, data analytics, tax law, and auditing. Crisp is growing fast, and so are the responsibilities of our team. As a result, no two days are the same and we continue to develop ourselves constantly. • You are responsible for processing and checking incoming invoices and expense claims. You speak with suppliers, manage the email flow, and prepare payments.

• You lead a team of working students and interns and work together with them to ensure that all invoices are processed timely and correctly.

• You support the month-end closing, check general ledger accounts, and assist with ad-hoc analyses and periodic reporting.

• You actively contribute ideas regarding the smart design of financial workflows. You explore and implement possibilities for process automation, smart data connections, and AI solutions (such as OCR recognition and automated invoice processing).

• You report to the Lead Financial Controller, who supports you in your daily activities and helps you grow within your role.

As an ideal candidate, you already have a foundation of knowledge and experience and want to continue learning in a field that is constantly changing and digitizing. You recognize yourself in the following profile:

• You have completed a higher professional (HBO) or university education (for example, Finance, Business Economics, or Accountancy).

• You have 0-3 years of relevant work experience in a financial or control function.

• You have experience with accounts payable and the processing and checking of invoices.

• Knowledge of accounting software (such as Exact) is a plus.

• You are proficient with data and have a strong affinity for automation and new technologies (such as AI tools, data integrations, and process optimization).

• You write and speak fluent Dutch and English.

• You are integer, accurate, and risk-aware. You understand that tight administration forms the basis for good decision-making.

• You think in terms of opportunities and possibilities: you immediately see where processes can be faster, smarter, or more error-free and do not hesitate to take this on.
