Pay & benefits
What you'll get
- A one-year contract, 24 hours per week, with a view to extension.
- A gross monthly salary of € 3,651 - € 6,173 gross per month based on 36 hours (scale H, broadcasting staff CAO), based on experience.

The role
As board secretary, you will work closely with the Board and act as the connecting link between the Board, the Supervisory Board, the Members' Council, and the organization. You will carefully prepare decision-making, monitor agreements, and ensure that decisions are clearly recorded and actually followed up on so that we can continue to steer at a governance level toward our mission: giving new heroes the power to right what is wrong.
You will proactively advise on governance, strategy, compliance, and governance relations. You dare to ask critical questions, signal risks, and keep the various roles and responsibilities within the organization sharp.
ZWART is a members' association within a public system that is in full motion. New legislation, changing societal expectations, and the formation of broadcasting houses demand governance sharpness, flexibility, and foresight. In this role, you will contribute to good governance, careful supervision, and clear information provision.

- You keep statutes, regulations, and other governance documents up to date and ensure that these align well with one another.
- You coordinate and edit policy plans, annual plans, annual reports, and governance notes.
- You signal in a timely manner which decisions, advice, or approvals are needed and ensure clear information provision to the Board and supervision.
External governance arena
- You translate developments in politics, legislation, and the media system into advice.
- You prepare the Board for consultations with the College van Omroepen, NPO, Commissariaat voor de Media, and OCW, and represent ZWART where necessary.
- You are a sparring partner regarding strategy and governance relations.
Compliance and integrity
- As compliance officer, you assess secondary functions and monitor rules regarding gifts, external contacts, the media code of conduct, and the Integrity Act.
- You handle the annual compliance statements, act as the point of contact for regulators, and advise on integrity and reputation.
