As a working student within the Purchasing Team, you are an important link in innovating and optimizing the assortment of Belsimpel | Gomibo. As a leader in the telecom market, purchasing the right products at the best price is essential to continue growing and to meet customer demand by offering a wide and diverse assortment.

While our objective in the smartphone sector is to remain the absolute largest in the Netherlands, there is still a lot of ground to be gained in the accessories sector to become the absolute largest there as well. Because of this, your role is very dynamic and you will encounter different challenges every single day. Do you want to contribute to the growth of an energetic and leading company while you study? • As a working student in the Purchasing Team, you are busy with various tasks all day long. Think of analyzing inventory, determining prices, and of course, purchasing products. Additionally, you are involved in determining pricing strategies, monitoring, and preparing and analyzing reports. You also have a lot of contact with other departments within the company. Think of our Finance and Control department, the logistics department, and the Category Management Products department.

• Together with your team, you are responsible for the assortment of all devices, tablets, and accessories that Belsimpel offers. That is very broad and also very challenging. Based on the analysis of your competitors, sales figures, and the current inventory status, you determine how much you want to purchase and from which party. Challenge, responsibility, and optimization are important aspects of the position, because the smarter you purchase, the greater the chance that Belsimpel remains best positioned in the market!! This is how you make an impact from day 1!

• In addition to the purchasing of products, you are also involved in preparing and interpreting purchasing and sales reports to improve our strategies. By analyzing this data, you provide valuable information that is useful for the entire company. With this, you show other departments where the company is growing, discover new opportunities to make a profit, and explain what the causes of these trends are. Your analyses contribute directly to the optimization of our processes and overall business operations.

• As a purchasing team, we have a lot of contact with external parties, such as our suppliers. This contact offers you the opportunity to develop and strengthen your commercial skills, such as negotiating prices and maintaining partner relationships. Furthermore, you gain insight into market trends and the needs of our suppliers, which is essential for making strategic purchasing decisions.

• Despite being the Purchasing Team, we also deal with the sale of products! Every day we sell large quantities of products to international partners. In this, you get a lot of freedom to make deals yourself and ensure that all orders leave the door correctly. A great opportunity to develop your commercial skills!

• Belsimpel has a flat structure. This means you work closely with experienced buyers and contribute to various projects. You will work in a young, enthusiastic, and eager-to-learn team. • You are following a bachelor's or master's degree at the RuG, preferably in a business administration direction.

• You are available 16 hours per week (or more) on weekdays between 9:00 - 18:00.

• You have a commercial mindset and enjoy being able to negotiate the best price.

• You are analytically super strong.
