• A permanent contract for 32–36 hours per week.

• Salary in accordance with CAO Gehandicaptenzorg, FWG 65 (maximum €7,115 based on 36 hours).

Can you make innovation work for people who perceive the world differently? As Innovation Team Manager at Bartiméus, you will lead a team that seeks, designs & develops solutions for people with visual impairments. Together with your team, will you make a difference in the daily lives of our target group?

As Innovation Team Manager at Bartiméus, you are part of the MT of the Customer & Expertise client group and you lead 12 employees who use their knowledge and passion for people with visual and intellectual disabilities. The team consists of three sub-teams that work closely together on improving residential care, renewing outpatient care, and developing innovations that contribute to increasing self-reliance and social participation through solutions other than the existing care offerings. Here, you connect specialist knowledge with a concrete task of change: together with the team, you seek existing solutions in (healthcare) technology, adapt or scale them up, and where necessary, develop new solutions that help people with visual impairments live the life that suits them.

You provide direction and ensure that ideas grow into innovations that make a difference in daily life. Together with your team, you work on realizing the innovation program of Bartiméus. You follow developments in (medical) technology, care, and society and translate these into opportunities for our clients, employees, and organization. In doing so, you look not only at new ideas, but especially at what actually adds value for people with visual impairments and how these innovations can become a sustainable part of our way of working.

You bring cohesion between (product) innovation, scaling up and implementation, expertise development, and business operations, and you know how to bring others along in change. You contribute to the further development of Bartiméus as a national expertise organization and represent the organization in relevant external networks.

Furthermore, you will work on:

• Supporting the scaling up and development of innovations from need to concrete application.

• Shaping and executing the new innovation program (2028-2030).

• Building a strong external network including knowledge institutions, financiers, technology partners, and governments.

• Managing and developing the innovation team and ensuring appropriate preconditions.

We are Bartiméus. With over 1,900 employees and about 850 volunteers, we are there for people in the Netherlands who are visually impaired or blind. Also if they have a multiple disability or experience problems with seeing due to, for example, non-congenital brain injury.
