Communication Internship

Are you pursuing a higher professional education (hbo) degree in communication and looking for an internship where you don't just execute, but truly contribute to a challenge within the organization? Then this internship is for you.

As a rental provider of construction site facilities, Ballast Nedam Materieel offers a complete package of construction and infrastructure equipment and associated services. We are working on our positioning and brand awareness. Good communication to the various target groups is essential in this process.

During this internship, the focus lies on drafting a communication plan for the various target groups. You will investigate how we can effectively inform and inspire employees and customers regarding Ballast Nedam Materieel and determine which channels are suitable for this. You will translate your insights into concrete advice and, where possible, into their execution.

You will complete your internship at our office in Almere, working closely with the HR Business Partner, while also coordinating with the Marketing & Communication department at the head office in Utrecht.

• Conducting research into communication towards various target groups, such as employees and customers, regarding positioning

• Translating these insights into concrete advice

• Conducting research into the correct marketing strategy towards customers

• Analyzing existing communication tools and channels

• Gathering input from colleagues

• Assisting in the rollout of the communication and/or marketing plan

• Supporting internal and external communication activities as needed

• You are pursuing a higher professional education (hbo) degree in the field of communication, marketing, or similar, and are available from September;

• You have a good command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written;

• You take initiative, are curious, and dare to ask questions;

• You have an interest in internal communication and organizational challenges;

• You work in a structured manner and can analyze information well;

• You possess strong communication skills and know how to engage others with your ideas;

• You switch easily between working independently and collaborating.

• A varied internship with room for a research or graduation assignment;

• You will receive an internship allowance of €600 gross per 4 weeks. Converted, this is €650 gross per month for a full-time internship;

• Good guidance. Your permanent internship supervisor will teach you the ins and outs of the profession;
