A completed HBO (higher professional education) or WO (university) degree, for example in Civil Engineering, Maritime Engineering, or Offshore Engineering;
Approximately 5 to 10 years of experience as a Project Engineer within offshore wind, offshore oil & gas, or maritime projects;
Experience with foundation installations, maritime operations, and heavy lift operations is a plus;
Affinity with both tender processes and the execution phase of projects;
The ability and the motivation to guide and further develop colleagues;
An entrepreneurial attitude and the drive to continuously improve processes and working methods;
Flexibility and the ability to function effectively in a dynamic and rapidly changing work environment.

As a Project Engineer at Ballast Nedam Wind & Marine, you will work on international offshore wind and maritime projects, from tender to execution. You play an important role in developing smart technical solutions for challenging projects worldwide and ensure that plans are executable, safe, and cost-efficient.
In this role, you form the link between design, engineering, and execution. From the very first technical elaboration, you contribute ideas regarding the best approach, risks, opportunities, and execution methodologies. When a project is awarded, you transfer your knowledge to the execution organization and remain involved to safeguard technical quality and manufacturability.
The emphasis lies on developing smart technical solutions and translating complex issues into a concrete and realizable approach. You work closely with tender managers, project managers, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors, and make an important contribution to the success of our projects.
Your activities in short:
Elaborating technical solutions and execution methodologies for offshore wind and maritime projects;
Supporting tender teams in developing distinctive and executable bids;
Drafting, coordinating, and reviewing technical documentation, calculations, and work methodologies;
Translating design principles into practical, safe, and efficient execution solutions;
Aligning with suppliers, subcontractors, and engineering partners regarding technical touchpoints and interfaces;
Identifying, analyzing, and controlling technical risks and opportunities;
Supporting project teams during the preparation and execution phases;
Monitoring quality, planning, manufacturability, and technical feasibility;
Contributing to the further development and improvement of engineering processes within Wind & Marine.
