The role
What you will do
When you think of earthmoving, do you not think of 'a shovel in the ground', but of wet excavations in cofferdams including all incidental activities such as diving work, underwater concrete, and dredging? Then this internship at Ballast Nedam Specialistisch Grondverzet is for you. In Leerdam and/or Gorinchem, you will work on a large and technically challenging infra project: the new Merwede Bridge with piers in the water.
During this internship, you will join the project team and support the startup, preparation, and execution of the cofferdams. You will gain insight into specialist earthmoving techniques and work closely with work preparers and site managers. You will see how design, planning, and execution come together and how theoretical knowledge is applied in practice under difficult conditions. The atmosphere is professional and collegial, with plenty of room to ask questions and take responsibility.
At Ballast Nedam Specialistisch Grondverzet, it is all about high-quality and specialist work. You will work on complex earthmoving projects where cofferdams, underwater concrete, and building in and around water are central.
