Role Description

Within the Delivery Project Management (DPM) department, you will work on engaging and complex construction projects that matter. As a trusted point of contact for our clients, we guide the entire process: from the initial initiative to a successful delivery. In doing so, we connect all relevant project aspects and bring together internal and external designers, municipalities, builders, and other stakeholders. As an upcoming project leader, you will develop within an expert and engaged team and contribute to challenging projects in, among others, the industry, with clients such as Johnson & Johnson, the energy transition, with parties such as TenneT, and the dynamic data center sector.

What are you going to do?

As an upcoming project leader, you will help bring structure to the projects. You are communicatively strong, work easily with others, are able to monitor processes, and in doing so, bridge the gap to practice and daily progress in projects. You take on tasks independently and take a proactive stance towards colleagues and clients. You stand firm in your shoes, do not settle for half an answer, can identify bottlenecks in a timely manner, and escalate where necessary.

As an upcoming project manager, you will be part of a larger project team or act as the executing right hand of a senior project manager, project director, or program manager. In this way, we want to allow you to develop into an independently operating project manager. Also, smaller projects that call for creativity and/or inventiveness, whether or not in combination with consultancy, are part of your duties. Due to the diversity in our projects, we can let you experience the full breadth of the field so that you discover what you enjoy and what you are good at.

Delivery Project Management Department

Your team falls under the Delivery Project Management department, a group of approximately 125 project managers, consultants, and several specialists who work together on very diverse projects, nationally and internationally. The often challenging complex projects mainly concern buildings within the industry, energy, and data sectors, and civil engineering. In addition to the Dutch market, Arcadis is also involved in projects abroad. We deploy our process-oriented skills during all phases within the construction process and all contract forms.
