You collect, analyze, and advise on spatial data to support projects and policymaking.
As a geodata advisor, you will work for governments (municipalities, provinces, water boards, and Rijkswaterstaat) and private enterprises. These clients are rapidly developing in the areas of data, information, and working with basic registries, as well as the implementation of the Environment Act. The questions you receive vary depending on the client's starting point. One client may need strategic advice to keep basic registries up to date or to improve their data and information management. Another client may be looking for someone to prepare their organization—both in terms of knowledge and process—for working with basic registries, for example, by giving persuasive presentations and workshops. Additionally, you will provide process and organizational advice. Whatever the starting point, with your knowledge of basic registries, data quality, and information processes, you make the difference. In short, as a geodata advisor, you are a technical expert and a connector between different disciplines, ensuring high-quality data and innovative solutions.
