Job requirements:

• Preferably, you have several years of work experience in the (petro)chemical industry;

• You have at least a process operator C or Allround Operational Technician level 4 diploma, or possess a comparable diploma VAPRO C theory and practical experience; VAPRO D is a plus.

• You are proficient in the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written;

• You have a great sense of responsibility and safety awareness;

• You are a go-getter, not afraid to get your hands dirty, and you would like to develop yourself as an all-round process operator at Air Liquide in the coming years.

Your challenge as an operator:

As an operator, you and your team work together to operate the production process in a safe and efficient manner. The major challenge lies primarily in the complexity of the highly automated production process. The 7 production plants in total are interconnected and also connected to an enormous pipeline network in the Benelux. In addition to the operational challenge, the energy transition will also provide a great learning curve.

The operator will spend a lot of time on training and education during the first years in order to subsequently be deployed as an all-round operator. The all-round operator has knowledge of all 7 production plants at the location, where among other things the following tasks will be performed:

• You monitor the condition of the production plants.

• During your shift, you regularly analyze the process and implement efficiency improvements where necessary.

• You consult with the maintenance department, report defects, and make improvement suggestions.

• You direct the activities of mechanics and contractors.

• The preparation and coordination of shutdowns and projects.

• You supervise the correct application of procedures and always prioritize the monitoring of HSE guidelines.

As an operator within the production department, you will work in a continuous shift pattern (5 shifts) in teams of nominally 4 operators. Each shift is led by a team leader or, in their absence, under the operational leadership of a senior operator.
