Wine Buying Center Internship

The Wine Buying Center procures all wines for Albert Heijn and Gall & Gall. Within the Wine category, we look at, among other things, which products are included in the assortment and which wine houses we would like to do business with.

Your new job and workplace.
The Wine Buying Center is a close-knit and professional team, consisting of 5 buyers and 2 assistants. The atmosphere is informal and personal, but hard work is done and there is a continuous strive for improvement. That makes it a world-class purchasing team. You will be involved in executing several independent projects, under the guidance of the Sourcing Manager Wine, to optimize various processes within the Wine Buying Center and with other departments - such as Ahold Inbound logistics, Gall & Gall commerce & Albert Heijn commerce. Furthermore, you will be involved in, among other things:

• Participating in projects to make wine procurement more sustainable (sustainability).
• Contact with suppliers regarding developments in the field of sustainability.
• Monitoring the progress of developments at suppliers regarding the recording of CO2 emissions and social and environmental certification.
• Actively thinking along about the development of our sustainability strategy and the rollout of its monitoring.
• Participating in the daily activities of buyers, such as drafting contracts, wine tastings, and administrative tasks.
• Furthermore, of course, taking on many common tasks and collaborating on the most beautiful category of Albert Heijn and Gall & Gall.

In this position, you work 32-40 hours per week, partly from our head office in Zaandam and partly from home.
