Are you driven by data and do you want to discover how advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning can truly make an impact in practice? At Albert Heijn, the largest food retailer in the Netherlands, as a thesis intern within the eCommerce Analytics team, you will get the chance to work on smart, data-driven solutions that take our eCommerce and supply chain to a higher level.

Whether it is about improving the customer journey, optimizing inventory management, or forecasting supply and demand - you help translate insights and models into concrete innovations. Your new internship and workplace.
You will be working in the eCommerce Analytics team at Albert Heijn. This team is part of the broader Data Science & Analytics department, where more than 150 data professionals work on advanced data solutions to understand customer behavior, increase customer relevance, and optimize processes. Together with colleagues from marketing, e-commerce, and logistics, among others, you will translate data insights into concrete impact for millions of customers. Within the eCommerce Analytics team, you will work on optimizing the online customer offering or provide actionable insights to improve the ecommerce operation.

In this role, you will work closely with engineers, analysts, business stakeholders, and data scientists and machine learning engineers from other analytics and data science teams within Albert Heijn. In this way, you contribute to smart, data-driven solutions that create value for our customers and colleagues every single day.

In this position, you will work 32-40 hours per week, partly from our head office in Zaandam and partly from home. Together with your thesis supervisor, you will choose a relevant and challenging topic to investigate and model.
