Strategy Consultant Intern

As a strategy consultant intern, you will fully participate within the Strategy and Commercial Intelligence team and work directly on issues that influence HEMA's course. Together with colleagues, you will investigate how the organization can grow, for example through international expansion, assortment strategies, or omni-channel plans. Market trends, customer behavior, competition, and financial figures form the basis for analyses with which valuable insights are developed. You will translate these insights into clear advice and documents that contribute to management's decision-making. The work requires close collaboration with other departments, such as marketing, store operations, and supply chain, giving you a broad view of the organization. In this way, you experience both sides of strategy: you get to know the consultancy profession, learn what strategic management looks like in practice, and visibly contribute to the future of HEMA.

• You are in the 3rd year or master's of a university program in the direction of Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or another relevant analytical field.
• You are available for a working internship starting in February 2027.
• You combine above-average study results with activities alongside your studies and have a passion for retail, consumer behavior, and strategic issues.
• You possess strong analytical abilities and know how to translate data into clear insights that contribute to decision-making.
• You work independently on complex issues and actively seek collaboration with colleagues from different disciplines within the organization.
• You are proficient in the use of PowerPoint and Excel, and have an affinity with tools such as Power BI and AI applications (for example, Claude).
• You are proficient in both the Dutch and English languages, both spoken and written.
