The role
As an intern within the Preparation Support e-Commerce team, you will get a unique opportunity to work on one of the most important supporting processes within Albert Heijn's e-Commerce operation. Every day, thousands of colleagues ensure that online orders are delivered to our customers on time and complete. Behind this operation lies a world of processes, systems, and resources that must function optimally. You will help us to analyze, improve, and future-proof these processes.
Your new job and workplace.
You will work together with an enthusiastic team of colleagues within Preparation Support e-Commerce. Our team supports the Home Shop Centers and HUBs in various areas that are essential for a well-functioning operation.
This is how we ensure that new employees possess the correct authorizations and have access to the systems they need to perform their work. Without the correct access rights, employees cannot start their work, which puts the operation under immediate pressure. Additionally, we support the operation with questions and incidents regarding Identity & Access Management (IAM) and work closely with IT to continuously improve processes.
We are also responsible for the availability of essential resources within the delivery operation. Think of materials needed for our Home Delivery Vans, so that delivery drivers can head out well-prepared every day. Additionally, we analyze data, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute to projects that make the e-Commerce operation smarter, more efficient, and more reliable.
During your internship, you will get the chance to participate in the team's daily work and also work independently on an improvement assignment. You will delve into one of the processes within Preparation Support, gather insights from the operation, analyze data, and develop a concrete improvement recommendation. Subsequently, you will get the opportunity to test your ideas in practice and contribute to their implementation.
You will work partly from our office in Utrecht, partly from home, and regularly visit Home Shop Centers to experience the operation up close. This will give you not only insight into the processes behind e-Commerce, but you will also learn how different departments work together to provide thousands of customers with their groceries every day.
We find it important that you can be yourself at Albert Heijn in an environment that is open to different perspectives, an environment in which we are curious and value each other. For this position, we preferably seek someone who strengthens the diversity in our team, in the broadest sense of the word. Someone who, from their own background and personal characteristics, brings a different voice and thereby serves as a good addition to our team.
This is what we offer you.
