The role

Within KWS Rotterdam-Zwijndrecht, we are looking for a Spray truck driver/Tack coat machine operator to come and strengthen our asphalt crew!

What you'll do

Your job as a Spray truck driver/Tack coat machine operator
You are responsible for applying the tack coat to the asphalt pavements. A driver of a tack coat machine applies bitumen emulsion to the road surface. This adhesive ensures good adhesion between asphalt layers. The driver operates the vehicle, controls the spraying installation, and ensures an even distribution. He works closely with the asphalt team and follows strict safety regulations. This work is essential for durable and stable roads.

As a driver on the tack coat or spray truck, you ensure that optimal adhesion of the asphalt layers can take place using the correct adhesive and dosage.
As a driver of the fuel or asphalt truck, you ensure the transport of those materials with the aim that the paving can continue undisturbed.
You check the quality of your own activities and adjust where necessary.
You identify and report technical defects and are able to solve small defects yourself.

Additional information

Being available full-time;
Knowledge and experience of working within an asphalt crew;
Recognized (roller) operator diploma or willingness to obtain one;
Flexibility to work irregular hours, such as night and weekend work;
Knowledge of and awareness regarding traffic safety;
Driver's license;
Possessing certification is a plus. If this is lacking, obtaining it is a must.
